[link]Several years ago a young woman, impressed with my poetry gifted a site to me.It was like a dream come true. My mother was of Welsh descent and my benefactor was from Wales and 100% Welsh. I could see my mother smiling, in my mind. Little did I know that Emma was terminally ill and this was one of her last acts of kindness. Young, intelligent and beautiful; the world suffered a huge loss. The site was supposed to be kept going, however, the owner never returned my calls and it disappeared. Watching it grow very quickly in a short amount of time, it couldn't die, I had to do something.I'd never built a site on my own, links, setups, files, music contributors; this was scary and exciting. Some people from a site I still visit thought I was full of bologna; not anymore. One poet said thanks for the links, but never paid any attention, so I dropped him. This site is for dedicated people, not to be confused with a site that posts anything. Another poet said, "My poems are here, take what you want." It doesn't work like that, you submit and I decide whether or not it's quality work that needs publishing. If you don't have a professional attitude, go elsewhere. The site will always be free to visitors. I pay the monthly fee, buy the mp3 music, unless it's donated, and make sure copyrights aren't being violated. It’s also my job to link, link, proof, rearrange, and keep the site fresh and I'll stop there, because my new section-Mythology and also The Phoenix has many interested people. There's a lot of research to be done. My support system and cheering section are more help than they realize.
TO YOU EMMA~

I could tell you that art plays a large part in making our lives infinitely rich. Imagine, just for a minute, a world without art! (You may think "So what?" but please consider the impact that lack of graphics would have on your favorite video game.) Art stimulates different parts of our brains to make us laugh or incite us to riot, with a whole gamut of emotions in between. Art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. For some people, art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning. You could say "Art is something that makes us more thoughtful and well-rounded humans."
On the other hand, art is such a large part of our everyday lives that we may hardly even stop to think about it. Look at the desk or table where you are, right this minute. Someone designed that. It is art. Your shoes are art. Your coffee cup is art. All functional design, well done, (hopefullsthetically pleasing to our eyes."
